ChatGPT acquired 1 million users just 5 days after its launch in November 2022. I remember this period too well because social media was agog. Crowd sweeping and zombifying “mentors” on social media spoke or wrote so highly about it, such that they made many feel like they would become overlords of Artificial Intelligence (AI).
But here’s the truth that may surprise you: AI’s true potential lies not in serving everyone, but in the hands of those who have honed their skills, embracing diligence in mastering their craft. It will be a boon to the cerebral, the focused, the perpetual learners, the innovators, the true creatives, and the meticulous, rewarding them like never before. On the other hand, for those who believe that “school na scam” feel disdain towards intelligent discussions or consider versatile people as “to know”, or the kind of people who’ve allowed algorithm to flood their timeline with mind dilapidating content owing to their endless binge, AI will be of little or no benefit. In fact, AI will be used against such people in ways that will blow their mind.
Now, you might be wondering how I came to this realization. Let me start by drawing your attention to a profound question I’ve been asked about the future of my work as a logo specialist against the backdrop of the impact of AI. I understand the question as one that raises the subject of relevance because with AI, “logo design can now be a DIY”, they say.
So recently, I collaborated with AI on the subject of my relevance. And as a believer in the timeless statement that says “see a man diligent in his work, he will not stand before men of little status but Kings and Princes”, I ensured that my collaboration with AI was guided to prove this point.
In the part 2, you will read about what AI had to say concerning both of us working together.
