On an all-expense-paid trip to the US, Hashim my Aboki (Hausa Word for Friend), is one of the nominated delegates of the 6 Nigerian Advocates/Young Leaders to represent our country at the 2021 United Nation’s IVLP, holding in Washington DC.
I have not been able to use words to explain to myself why I like him. It was the picture of his visit to a Tesla showroom that gave me the light bulb moment.
How does a picture give you a light bulb moment you’d ask? Look at the picture again, the clue is the TESLA logo. People have told me, Dayo, but you’re the one that sees all this. Another way of saying it isn’t important to them. However, if I were to be a fortune teller, won’t you like to know your future?
FYI, the main symbolic theme of my agency’s logo is our creatively adapted version of an ancient symbol that upon its sighting on a person’s palm by practitioners of para-psychology (fortune tellers) means success.
Back to the TESLA #logo clue. It is a typographic logo or what you can call a logo made from a typeface or as one. Can you see the space in between each letter? That space is the deliberate real VALUE that’s ingeniously infused into the logo. It means “Room for more”.
It is this value that resounds the character of the company’s founder, Elon Musk. And by all means, Elon Musk has shown the world that with him there’s always room for more exploration, more frontiers to conquer and more and more. If you’ve read about him or listened to his interviews you’d know this for a fact. Tesla recently launched a future truck. How about that?
So now I have words to say about why I like my friend Hashim. With him, there’s always room for more, such that discovering the many sides of him is always exciting. A go-getter guy that’s so straight to the point and honest with his intentions. He’s just cool like that.
