One late night I woke up to find myself alone on the couch in my living room. As my sleepy eyes cleared gradually, I noticed a movie was about to start. A movie about wits, will and intense courage. During the end credits, the accompanying song titled “Legendary” by Welshy Arms played. The song was spot-on for climax. For your reading delight, I extracted the lyrics because you may as well find it useful like I have.
“Take a look around me,
Taking pages from a magazine.
Been looking for the answers
Ever since we were seventeen.
You know the truth can be a weapon,
To fight this world of ill intentions.
A new answer to the same question.
How many times will you learn the same lesson?
I think they got it all wrong
We just gotta hold on
And on, and on, and on…”
(Indeed since I was a teenager, I was in search for what made me different. I knew I was. From secondary school I already had an awareness of my unusual characteristics. I was mostly rebellious with creativity and displayed aggression towards any intention to stop me).
Chorus:
‘Cause we’re gonna be legends,
Gonna get their attention,
What we’re doing here ain’t just scary,
It’s about to be legendary.
Yeah, we’re gonna be legends.
Gonna teach ’em all a lesson,
Got this feeling in our souls we carry,
It’s about to be legendary“.
(My dream exactly. That’s what the chorus describes. I started out scared but I let the divine guide me with wits, will and unflinching courage. From my very first job, I told myself I wasn’t just going to be a graphics designer. I’m more than that. Attempts to box-me-in almost worked but I decided to teach anyone that cared to listen, the soul that I carry about my difference).
There’s a legend inside of you. And like it was in the movie, the attainment of the legendary feat was a collaboration. Some worked front end others on the back end. I know what I can bring to the table to help any business. I’m sure I’ve told you a thing or two about it’s purpose and value. If you don’t know, kindly ask me. It’ll be my pleasure to share value with you. Let’s be legends. To be continued.
