On Monday, 17th November, the cossy Chillers Spur at Sulaiman House, Dutse, lit up with excitement as the Dutse Bankers Cup/25 Draws were conducted. Eight (8) top financial institutions – FCMB, GTBank, Polaris Bank, Sterling Bank, TAJBank, UBA, Unity Bank, and Zenith Bank—assembled for the ballot that would shape the tournament’s opening battles.
Led by the Tournament’s Disciplinary Committee Chairman Mr. Thomas Ukubile, MD, Komplit Investment Ltd (the tournament’s official financial and operational administrators), alongside Mr. Dayo Abiola, Creative Director Dayo Abiola Consulting Ltd (the tournament’s official corporate identity/brand communications providers), the teams were paired into Group A and Group B. The moment the groups were revealed, the atmosphere shifted instantly.
Faces tightened, strategies formed, and competitive energy spiked. Laughter filled the room, yet beneath it, every player understood the stakes. TAJBank’s representative even fired the first shot – confidently declaring they would defeat UBA.
